Emily A. Thomas is an associate in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. Her focus areas include contractual interpretation, regulatory statues, state insurance statutes and ERISA law. Her background includes work representing approximately 30 hospitals in 14 states for various breach of contract and wrongful denial issues for outstanding health insurance and workers’ compensation.
Additionally, Emily previously served as a temporary law clerk for the Hon. Scott Silverman, for the First District Court of Appeal in Florida. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2007 and serves on the Health Law Section.
Emily received her Bachelor’s degree in Art History at Florida Atlantic University in 2002, and received her law degree magna cum laude from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2007. While in law school she served as Executive Editor of the St. Thomas Law Review.
