Harold “Hal” S. Stevens is a Partner in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office and chairs the firm’s General Liability Practice Group. He focuses his practice on the defense of general and products liability, personal injury and construction defect claims.
Hal is a seasoned trial attorney with more than 30 years experience defending insurance companies in a myriad of cases including construction defects involving shopping centers, multi-story buildings, and high-end single-family homes. He has also handled all types of general liability cases including premises liability cases involving slip and falls, assaults, negligent security, liquor liability cases, trucking liability cases, coverage claims, E&O claims, legal malpractice, and automobile cases which have involved injuries from death claims to all types of surgical cases, quadriplegic and paraplegic injuries.
Hal began his legal career working as in house counsel for Allstate Insurance Company and later as Managing Attorney for Colonial Penn Insurance Company. He also managed a South Florida law firm that focused on insurance defense work.
Hal has handled numerous jury trials to verdicts throughout the state of Florida. He is licensed to practice law in Florida, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and the Federal Middle District and Southern District of Florida.
Hal received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Temple University and his law degree from the University of Miami.
