Jack T. Frost is a Partner in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office and focuses his practice on the defense of General Liability, Products Liability and Construction Defect claims, and the prosecution and defense of declaratory judgment actions involving insurance coverage disputes and extra-contractual claims.
Jack has been involved in many significant third party coverage disputes including cases that interpreted an insurance company’s duty to defend and indemnify, breach of policy conditions, claims involving bad faith and unfair and deceptive trade practices, as well as coverage obligations for commercial trucking, personal auto policies including uninsured motorist coverage, construction defects, pollution, trademark and patent infringement claims. Jack also regularly provides advice to insurance carriers and policyholders on issues involving policy interpretation, claims handling practice and procedures, and the drafting of insurance policy provisions.
Jack is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in Civil Trial Law with more than 30 years of experience representing insurers and insureds in all aspects of civil litigation. In addition to his experience in defending construction defect claims and related coverage issues, Jack also handles matters involving personal injury and wrongful death claims arising from automobile and commercial trucking accidents, construction accidents, premises liability, products liability, and inadequate security.
Jack is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating a lawyer can receive, which indicates a demonstration of the highest professional and ethical standards. Additionally, he is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit-Civil Mediator and has been recognized by Florida Super Lawyers from 2008-2014.
