Julie Swindell is a Partner in the firm’s Miami office, focusing her practice on Property and Casualty claims, including First Party Insurance Defense.
Julie has experience handling matters involving Civil Litigation, Insurance Defense, Foreclosure Defense, Family Law, Real Property and Contracts. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an Attorney for a full-service law firm in Pompano Beach, FL and served as a Complex Litigation Discovery Associate for a consulting firm in Miami. In 2009, Julie volunteered as a Pro-Bono Foreclosure Attorney for Florida Attorneys Saving Homes and was recognized by the Florida Bar. During that time, she also worked as a solo practitioner where she managed Real Property cases.
In 2004, Julie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Trade and Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology, SUNY. She then went on to earn a Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law where she earned a spot on the Dean’s List for four consecutive semesters and received Book Awards in three classes. While attending law school, Julie was a member of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers.
