Steven H. Osber is a Partner in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office with a practice focused primarily on commercial and business litigation. Steve’s cases range from routine litigation matters to highly complex litigation and include partnership/shareholder disputes, commercial eviction matters, real estate litigation, and construction litigation. Steve is also valued as a contributing litigator on the firm’s general civil litigation cases and employment law cases. Steve’s expansive litigation experience includes approximately fifty trials, jury and non-jury, in both State and Federal Court, as well as extensive binding arbitration experience. Steve is also proficient in appellate practice, having prepared appellate briefs and having argued before various appellate tribunals.
Steve has been distinguished as one of South Florida’s “Top Lawyers 2011” by The South Florida Legal Guide, a peer-nominated publication that is the region's premier legal services resource. He is also a frequent speaker within the risk management industry. Steve is a Past Chair of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee and a member of the Board of Directors for the Broward County Crime Stoppers. Additionally, Steve is the on the Board of Directors and is Vice President of Programming for the B’nai Brith Justice Unit, #5207, an organization that fosters communication between members of the Jewish legal community in South Florida.
Steve graduated from the State University of New York at Albany in 1989 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Steve attended law school at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center and graduated with his juris doctorate in 1996. He is licensed to practice in the state of Florida and is admitted to the United States District Court of Florida Southern and Middle Districts.
