Kelley Kronenberg Partners Recognized by Best Lawyers® 2020

Janice Matson Rickert recognized in Workers’ Compensation and James D. Silver in Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights

Rickert is a Partner in the firm’s Tampa office and has been recognized by Best Lawyers® since 2012. Her experience lies in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, Premises Liability, Employment Practices and Safety/OSHA compliance.  Rickert was also 2019 Lawyer of the Year for Workers’ Compensation- Employers, Tampa.

Rickert provides clients with training programs for employment issues and loss practices. She is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and is also a Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. She is a graduate of the University of Florida, having earned both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Juris Doctor degree from the university. She is admitted to practice law in Florida as well as the United States, Middle District of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.


Silver
Is a Partner in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office and is the head of the firm’s Business Bankruptcy and Creditor Rights Practice. He has focused his practice in business bankruptcy, insolvency related issues, including receiverships, creditors rights, and complex commercial litigation. With more than 30 years of experience, Silver has been a court appointed receiver in an SEC enforcement action involving a multi-state Ponzi scheme and was extensively involved in the bankruptcy representation of a victims group of more than 80 defrauded investors in the $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme involving Scott Rothstein’s defunct law firm.  Silver was named the DBR most effective lawyer in the bankruptcy field, along with two other lawyers, for his work on the bankruptcy case of Rothstein’s defunct law firm.

Silver is rated AV® Preeminent™ Peer Rated by Martindale-Hubbell®. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law where he was a member of the Law Review, and served as Associate Research Editor of the Law Review.  He is admitted to practice law in Florida as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida.
