The Firm’s Appellate Department handles appeals for all areas of legal representation at all appellate levels. Appeals filed against our clients are meticulously monitored for any opportunity for dismissal in order to dispense with the costs and potential liabilities associated with appellate litigation.
Appeals filed on behalf of our clients are aggressively handled, pursuing all available avenues of appellate review, including oral argument. Our Appellate Department is available to handle routine appeals, extraordinary writs, and amicus pleadings on behalf of our clients in response to the issuance of a lower court order. Prior to the initiation of an appeal, our Appellate Department expediently conducts an analysis of lower court orders for an assessment of the viability of an appeal, preparation of an appellate budget for the case, and preparation of an anticipated timeline for the resolution of the appeal, so that our clients are well-informed when deciding to pursue an appeal.
