OSHA
The Firm handles matters arising under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, which is the federal law governing workplace safety and health. In particular, the Department advises clients with respect to compliance with OSHA regulations and standards, compliance with reporting and record keeping obligations, handling agency inspections and investigations, the issuance and contest of OSHA citations, abatement of hazardous conditions, and negotiation of settlement agreements. The Department also handles all aspects of OSHA-related litigation.
Our Department assists clients in conducting self audits of their employment and compensation practices, as well as representing clients in conjunction with outside audits being conducted by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor and the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs which enforce the affirmative action obligations of government contractors. We also provide audits and training regarding I-9 forms and general compliance with the Immigration Reform Control Act of 1986.
