Overview

Ambree Barnes is an Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg focusing her practice on personal injury protection/no-fault insurance defense.  

Ambree’s legal career began with several internships and fellowships that provided her with a broad understanding of various legal fields. As an Economic Justice Fellow at Legal Services of Greater Miami, she analyzed economic issues affecting South Florida and gained valuable experience in client interactions and case management. 

Her time as a Guardian Ad Litem Advocate Intern with The Florida Department of Children and Families allowed her to draft motions and analyze caselaw, further developing her legal writing and research skills. Ambree also served as a Judicial Intern in the Chambers of Judge Vincent Chiu at The Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, where she gained insight into judicial decision-making processes. Additionally, her internship at Southside Community Law Center in Tallahassee provided her with hands-on experience in client intake, case management, and courtroom observation.  

Ambree graduated cum laude from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Pre-Law. As an undergraduate, she was involved in the J.W. Hatchett Pre-Law Society, the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice, the Big Sister Little Sister Mentoring Program, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. 

She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Law. During her time there, she participated in the Mediation Clinical Program and the Guardian Ad Litem Clinical Program, enhancing her practical legal skills. She was actively involved in various student organizations, serving as Treasurer for the Christian Legal Society, Class Representative for the Federal Bar Association: Student Division, and as an Office of Admissions Ambassador. Ambree was also a member of the National Black Law Students Association and the Hispanic American Law Student Association.
