Courtney F. Smith is an Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg, where she assists in handling matters related to First Party Property Insurance Defense.
Before joining Kelley Kronenberg, Courtney represented insurance carriers for more than a decade in first-party property insurance coverage and third-party insurance liability matters in state and federal courts across Florida. She also has extensive experience handling complex business disputes, commercial litigation, and products liability matters.
Courtney received her Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from the University of West Florida in Legal Studies. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Samford University Cumberland School of Law. While attending law school, she gained legal experience serving as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Judge Virginia Emerson Hopkins of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. She also served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Judge Houston L. Brown of the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Alabama. In addition, during her law school tenure, Courtney earned a spot on the Dean’s List two times and was awarded the CALI Book Award in recognition of achieving the highest score in her Products Liability course.
