Jessica Marra is an Attorney in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office and focuses her practice on General Liability and Third Party Insurance Defense Litigation with a background in Criminal Law, Workers’ Compensation, Contract Disputes, and Administrative Matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Jessica worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the Office of the State Attorney, Seventeenth Judicial Circuit where she led over 400 felony cases through court proceedings, including jury trials. Additionally, she worked as a Certified Legal Intern, Law Clerk, and Paralegal where she gained experience preparing and conducting arraignments, calendar calls, motions, depositions, and legal research.
Jessica earned her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree in Political Science from Florida International University where she was a Florida Bright Futures Scholarship recipient. She then went on to receive her law degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center where she graduated cum laude. While attending law school, Jessica earned a spot on the Dean’s List and received both the Cuban American Bar Association Scholarship and President’s Award. She was also nominated for the Larry Kalevitch Service Award, as well as the Stephanie Aleong Impact Award. Additionally, Jessica served as both the President and Vice President of the Student Bar Association and was an active member of the Student Affairs Faculty Committee and the Nova Trial Association.
Jessica is fluent in Spanish and is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
