Kara Hilt-Mead is an Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg, where she assists in handling matters related to Personal Injury Protection, Bodily Injury and First Party Property Insurance defense litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Kara worked as an Associate Attorney for an insurance defense firm where she gained experience working on First and Third Party Property Insurance Defense and Bodily Injury matters.
Kara earned her Bachelor of Health Science degree, cum laude, from the University of West Florida. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor Degree from Stetson University College of Law. While in law school, she served as the President of Health Care Law Association as well as a teaching assistant for the Legal Research and Writing course, where she mentored other students in developing and perfecting their research, writing, and oral argument skills. Additionally, she was a Law Clerk where she gained experience working on Bodily Injury insurance defense litigation and slip and fall matters and assisted in preparing discovery responses, motion practice and preparing witnesses for deposition. Prior to attending law school, Kara worked in the health care industry and has invaluable experience regarding medical-provider billing and medical records.
