Overview

Michael Hill is a Partner at Kelley Kronenberg focusing his practice on First Party Insurance Defense Litigation. He also handles general insurance defense and trucking and transportation matters.

Michael has over 20 years of experience focusing his practice on defense litigation including environmental claims, general bodily injury lawsuits, trucking accidents, premises liability and construction cases. Michael began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in New Orleans handling felony trials and thereafter took a position with the Louisiana Supreme Court as a Staff Attorney providing review and analysis support to the Justices as part of the Court’s Central Staff.

Michael received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Political Science from West Virginia University. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University School of Law where he was a member of the Moot Court and the school’s ATLA Trial Competition Team.

Michael holds a Certified Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) designation from the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. He regularly instructs continuing education courses for industry claims personnel on the topics of bad faith claims handling, setting reserves, property damage adjustment, evidence, and resolution strategies.
