Michael J. Freedman

Michael Freedman is an Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg, handling matters related to general liability and third-party insurance defense.  

Originally from West Palm Beach, Michael ventured away from his hometown to explore opportunities in cities like Orlando and Key West. After experiencing life in these places, he did a full circle back to his roots and joined our West Palm Beach office. Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Michael worked as an Assistant Public Defender for the Office of the Public Defender, 15th Judicial Circuit in West Palm Beach. While in this position, he managed all facets of criminal defense representation for clients facing first to third-degree felony charges. His meticulous skill set extends to drafting motions, memorandum of law, violations of probation, and open pleas to the Judge. 

Michael’s legal journey also took him to the 16th Judicial Circuit in Key West. Here, he managed criminal defense cases and proved his acumen by trying both misdemeanor and felony trials with commendable outcomes. Michael founded the Law Office of Michael J. Freedman, PLLC in Orlando, and was responsible for a spectrum of duties, including advocating for children as a Guardian ad Litem, managing business contract disputes at mediation conferences, and representing clients in criminal matters. His adeptness also encompassed assisting clients with intricate issues involving trusts, wills, and estates. 

Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor degree from Florida A&M University College of Law.   

Beyond his academic and professional achievements, Michael has also been involved in the legal community. He served as the past vice president of the Florida Keys Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, further exemplifying his commitment to the field.
