Michael interned with the Homicide Trial Unit of the Office of the State Attorney for the 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida during law school and, upon graduation, accepted a position as a Misdemeanor Trial Prosecutor before being promoted to Felony Trial Prosecutor. Before joining Kelley Kronenberg, Michael practiced immigration law in Rome, Italy before starting a successful private practice in Fort Lauderdale, focused on family law and criminal defense.
Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he majored in Aerospace Studies, minoring in Business Administration, International Relations, and Humanities. He earned his International Master of Business Administration (IMBA), specialized in global-logistics and supply-chain management, from the Hochschule Bremen University of Applied Sciences in Bremen, Germany, and his Masters of Science specializing in Global Business (MSc.GB) from the University of Hertfordshire at Hatfield, Hatfield, UK.
Michael received his Juris Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where he was a Gold Cord recipient for Pro Bono Public Service.
Michael is a Certified Merchant Mariner and FCC licensed Marine Radio Operator, as well as a U.S. Coast Guard licensed 50-Ton Commercial Ship Captain for In-Land Waters. In addition to this, he is an FAA licensed single and multi-engine pilot with endorsements for high-performance aircraft. He is a former member of the Broward Sheriff’s Office’s Mounted Posse, responsible for horse-mounted crowd control, parade and ceremony, and search and rescue operations in support of law enforcement. Additionally, he is an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and regularly teaches firearms safety courses.
