Munir D. Barakat

Munir D. Barakat is a Partner at Kelley Kronenberg, focusing his practice on first-party property insurance defense. He has over 17 years of diverse experience handling a broad range of civil litigation matters, including personal injury protection (PIP), bodily injury (BI), commercial litigation, construction accidents, domestic and offshore trust structure design, streamlining operations or investments in the U.S., asset protection, estate planning and formation & maintenance of domestic and offshore business structures.

Before joining Kelley Kronenberg, Munir was a Partner at an international firm in Miami, where he represented various transportation entities in third-party liability lawsuits. He was also the Founder and Managing Attorney of a civil litigation firm in Florida, where he led all major legal cases and guided all employed law practitioners in front of State and Federal courts.

Munir received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida International University. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law.

Munir was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, and is fluent in Spanish.
