Overview

Otto Espino, Jr. is a Partner and Business Unit Leader focusing his practice on First and Third Party Insurance Defense Litigation.

Since becoming a member of the Florida Bar in 1996, Otto N. Espino, Jr. has extensive experience as a litigator. Otto focuses his practice in general liability litigation with particular emphasis on matters involving insurance coverage, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, product liability, and the defense of catastrophic personal injury cases. Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Otto held a Staff Counsel position at Ascendant Commercial Insurance Company. During his time at Ascendant, Otto first-chaired 3 jury trials and favorably resolved catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims. Otto was also the Lead Trial Attorney at a South Florida insurance defense firm where he first-chaired two trials.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the St. Thomas School of Law. Otto holds the AV® Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, its highest rating for ethics and legal ability. He is also a member of the Dade County Bar Association and the Cuban American Bar Association. Otto is admitted to practice in the State of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the U.S. District Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida. He is also fluent in Spanish.
