Walter Benjamin is a Partner in the firm’s Orlando office and focuses his practice on Workers’ Compensation. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, which indicates a demonstration of the highest professional and ethical standards and is the highest rating a lawyer can receive.
Walter has spent 24 years of his career primarily litigating Workers’ Compensation claims. His experience includes 18 years of representing employers and carriers, as well as six years representing injured workers. He has also handled appeals before the First and Fifth District Courts of Appeals, and served as an Assistant Public Defender where he tried numerous jury trials.
In his spare time, Walter periodically serves as a guest speaker on Workers’ Compensation topics at Seminole State College. Additionally, he served as guest editor of the News & 440 Report for the Workers’ Compensation section of The Florida Bar and has presented adjuster CEU classes.
Walter earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Emory University. He then went on to earn his law degree from the University of Florida.
Walter is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
