Yanina F. Onyewenjo

Yanina Onyewenjo is an Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg. She assists in handling matters related to all liability and casualty defense with a focus on third-party insurance defense.   

Before joining the firm, Yanina worked as a law clerk at an international securities law firm. She was responsible for supporting the legal department, particularly with German class actions, by preparing powers of attorney, retainers, funding agreements, case memos, and case alerts.    

Yanina earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida International University, majoring in International Relations, where she graduated magna cum laude and was recognized with the International Service Award.   

Yanina went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Florida International University College of Law. Yanina was a Dean’s Scholar and was involved in multiple competitions, including ABA Chicago Regional Negotiation Competition, where she was a Regional Champion, and the ABA National Negotiation Competition Finals, where she was a Quarterfinalist. Additionally, she was a student coach in the International Law School Mediation Tournament and was an active member of FIU’s Community Lawyering Clinic.  

While attending law school, Yanina served as a Judicial Intern for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, where she composed judicial orders for compassionate release cases and helped the judge’s pro bono re-entry program, where she drafted graduate speeches for ex-convicts who had completed the program successfully.   

Yanina is fluent in German.
