ShareKelley Kronenberg Defeats Morgan & Morgan in $150K Case for Local Business
Kelley Kronenberg Attorney Alexandra Mena successfully secured a dismissal in a premises liability case on behalf of a local small business in Orange County, Florida. The plaintiff had sought $150,000.00 in damages, claiming injuries from a fall on a sidewalk adjacent to the defendant’s property.
The case centered on allegations of negligent maintenance and failure to warn after the plaintiff allegedly suffered neck, back, and right hip injuries from a fall. Through careful investigation and legal analysis, Alexandra demonstrated that the incident occurred on a municipal sidewalk owned and maintained by the city government, not on our client’s property.
After addressing an initial venue challenge, Alexandra engaged in productive discussions with opposing counsel from Morgan & Morgan regarding the proper party for the lawsuit. She successfully argued that the governmental entity owning the sidewalk was the appropriate defendant. These discussions ultimately led to the voluntary dismissal of all claims against our client.
The resolution protected the interests of the small business owner while minimizing legal expenses, highlighting Kelley Kronenberg’s commitment to efficient and effective representation of local businesses.
