Construction Association of South Florida Women’s Council Raises Nearly $50,000 at 2nd Annual Cares About South Florida Celebration

Charity event benefits the Crockett Foundation

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – The Construction Association of South Florida (CASF) Women’s Council recently hosted its 2nd Annual Cares About South Florida Celebration at Banyan Air Service in Fort Lauderdale. This year’s event, “Rock It For Crockett,” raised nearly $50,000 to benefit the Crockett Foundation, a local organization devoted to inspiring and empowering youth by promoting literacy, health and education.

“Thank you to everyone who came out to support this wonderful charity. We were honored to have Henri Crockett and his wife Jessica with us to celebrate,” said Vicki Schuerger, Chairperson for the event. Ms. Schuerger is also an Executive Legal Liaison with the full service business law firm Kelley Kronenberg, which has been involved with CASF for several years.

Approximately 175 people attended the event, which included dazzling airplanes and exotic cars, along with music and auction items.

CASF is a nonprofit organization consisting of members from all aspects of the construction industry, including general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, design professionals and other professionals with a vested interest in the building industry. The organization’s Women’s Council is responsible for planning and promoting at least one event each year to promote networking opportunities for women within CASF.
