Insurance Defense Group Joins Kelley Kronenberg in Miami

Firm Adds Steven L. Scharf and Shaghayegh Nowroozpour

MIAMI, Fla. —  Kelley Kronenberg, a diverse, full-service business law firm, announced that Steven L. Scharf has rejoined the firm as a Partner. Joining with Mr.  Scharf is Shaghayegh (Shaggy) Nowroozpour, who has joined as an attorney. The team previously worked with a Hollywood, Fla. law firm and handles matters involving First Party Insurance Defense and Workers’ Compensation.

Scharf, an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rated lawyer, rejoins Kelley Kronenberg as a partner in the firm’s Miami office, after initially beginning his legal career with the firm. He handles Workers’ Compensation claims as well as First Party Property defense claims from their inception through the trial and appellate stages on behalf of employers, third party administrators and prestigious insurance carriers. He is a member of The Florida Bar, American Bar Association and the South Florida Claims Association. He is actively involved in the Friends of 440 organization and serves as a trustee of the foundation.

Mr. Scharf earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, as well as a minor in Economics, from Tulane University. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. He also attended Tulane University School of Law in Paris, France and Amsterdam, The Netherlands where he studied European Community Law. He is admitted to practice law in Florida.

Shaghayegh (Shaggy) Nowroozpour, who joins as an attorney in the firm’s Miami office, focuses her practice on First Party Insurance Defense and Workers’ Compensation. She is experienced in defending major property insurance carriers in First Party defense claims. During law school, she worked as Law Clerk where she developed experience with Business Intelligence and Personal Injury.

Ms. Nowroozpour earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, as well as a minor in Chemistry, from the University of Miami. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. She is admitted to practice law in Florida and is fluent in English, Spanish and Farsi.
