Fort Lauderdale, Fla. — Joshua T. Higgins, an attorney in the Fort Lauderdale office of Kelley Kronenberg, has been appointed the legal advisor of the Safety Alliance For Excellence (SAFE). In this role, Mr. Higgins will advise the organization and its members on any and all legal matters pertaining to construction. He will also advise the group on developments in construction law.
Kelley Kronenberg, a nationwide full-service law firm based in Fort Lauderdale, has been involved with SAFE since its inception in 2012. The firm is a 2015 Titanium Sponsor and Charter Member of the organization.
SAFE was founded as a resource for safety, health and risk professionals to work together with OSHA, attorneys, universities and colleges, safety vendors and others who support the organization’s efforts to develop “Best Practices.” SAFE meetings are held monthly in Miami and offer participants the opportunity to network with others who are passionate about improving safety in their workplace.
Mr. Higgins focuses his practice on Workers’ Compensation, Police Professional Litigation , Correctional Healthcare , and Civil Rights Violations. Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, he worked as an Assistant State Attorney at the State Attorney’s Office, 17th Judicial Circuit.
Mr. Higgins earned his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his juris doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. He is admitted to practice law in Florida.
