Kelley Kronenberg Launches New Rapid Response Practice Group

Practice Group is dedicated to responding on scene to catastrophic accidents, events that involve firm clients

FORT LAUDERDALE/ORLANDO, Fla. — Kelley Kronenberg, a national full service business law firm, announced it has created a unique new practice group to assist its clients on scene in the immediate aftermath of a catastrophic accident or event.

The Rapid Response Team is comprised of OSHA, general liability and insurance defense attorneys, and accident specialists who are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Kelley Kronenberg’s Rapid Response Team is equipped to respond to catastrophes involving construction, transportation, OSHA, manufacturing, chemical plants, premises liability matters and Dram shop liability matters.

“Usually, when someone is involved in a catastrophic incident, attorneys are contacted only when there is a fine imposed, a lawsuit or the threat of a lawsuit,” said Heath S. Eskalyo, Principal Partner, CFO and leader of the practice group.  “But by that time, the client may already be at a disadvantage due to mistakes or misstatements made in the immediate aftermath.  By showing up on the scene, alongside insurance adjusters and other authorities, our Rapid Response team attorneys can do their own thorough investigation and evaluation of potential exposure, better protecting our clients’ interests.”

Immediately following a loss, the firm’s legal forensic team is dispatched to the scene of a catastrophe to deploy investigators, accident reconstruction experts, independent adjusters, and field investigators.  With the assistance of these individuals, the Rapid Response attorneys immediately begin their work, with an eye toward preserving evidence and collecting information likely to have a major impact on the defense or resolution of claims.

In addition to Eskalyo, other attorneys assigned to the Rapid Response team include Partners Gavin Mackinnon and Daniel Liebowitz from the firm’s Orlando office. Partners Christy Brigman, Jack Frost, Harold Stevens, Dominick Tamarazzo and Angelo Filippi, from the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, round out the team for the southern half of the State. Chicago Partner, Chris Miller, will respond to matters and incidents in the areas surrounding Chicago, IL.

Having the right people on the scene, when our client needs us most, can mean the difference between a successful resolution or a significant loss,” said Eskalyo.  “We think this practice group helps set us apart from competing law firms that have similar practice areas; it gives us an edge.”
