Kelley Kronenberg Proud to Sponsor the Fort Lauderdale Triathletes

October 1, 2015

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Kelley Kronenberg, a national full-service law firm, has committed to serve as a “Premier Sponsor” of the Fort Lauderdale Triathletes (FLT) from now through the end of 2016. In addition to a monetary contribution, the firm is also providing support to the organization through equipment donations and services.

FLT is a nonprofit, organized training group, interested in the development of triathlon and multisport disciplines in the greater Fort Lauderdale area. The group strives to provide a healthy lifestyle, fun environment, and social atmosphere for members to pursue their individual development and achievements in the sport of triathlon. FLT truly represents a diverse group, with all manner of age, interest, ability, and experience welcomed and valued equally.

“Several of our employees are runners or have participated in triathlons, including myself,” said Heath S. Eskalyo, Kelley Kronenberg’s Principal Partner and CFO. “Our firm believes in supporting community programs, and there is an added significance when several of us have a personal interest in the goals of the organization as well.” Mr. Eskalyo also directs the firm’s philanthropic efforts and oversees involvement in community events and fundraisers.

This is not the first time Kelley Kronenberg has become involved in the triathlon realm. Earlier this year, the firm announced a partnership with triathlete Leanda Cave, the 2012 World Champion in the full and half Ironman distance. Additionally, the firm supported an anti-hate and anti-bullying campaign led by Hector Picard, who has competed in more than 100 triathlons. Mr. Picard lost his entire right arm and most of his left arm in a job-related accident in 1992 and remains the only double-amputee Ironman in the world.

Mr. Eskalyo, a Sprint, Olympic, 70.3 and Ironman triathlete, and founder of the TRI SHARKS, a nonprofit networking and philanthropic triathlete group, sees the parallels between triathlon training and the legal profession.

“As an avid triathlete, I recognize the discipline and dedication that are required to succeed in this sport. These thought processes mirror our firm’s approach to handling complex legal matters for our clients.”
