Kelley Kronenberg Welcomes Melissa S. Haluska and Mauricio J. Vaca to its West Palm Beach Office

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Kelley Kronenberg, a diverse business law firm, announced that Melissa S. Haluska and Mauricio J. Vaca have joined the firm’s West Palm Beach office as Attorneys.

Haluska assists in handling matters related to Workers’ Compensation defense.

Prior to beginning her legal career, Haluska worked in the healthcare industry where she gained valuable experience verifying insurance for patients, handling medical records, billing insurance companies, and many other administrative healthcare tasks. This background provides her with a unique perspective and advantage when analyzing injuries and medical claims for workers’ compensation matters.

Before joining Kelley Kronenberg, she served as an Associate Attorney in an estate planning & elder law firm. She has experience handling both simple and complex estate planning matters and asset protection issues. She has also counseled clients on Medicaid qualification and Veteran’s Aid and Attendance benefits.

Haluska earned her Associate of Arts degree in Nursing from Indian River State College and her Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from Florida Atlantic University. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Barry University School of Law. Haluska is admitted to practice law in Florida.

Vaca assists in handling matters related to general liability, first party property insurance defense, commercial, intellectual property and criminal defense.

Prior to joining the firm, Vaca was an Associate Attorney for a statewide corporate defense law firm where he gained extensive experience litigating general liability, commercial and complex litigation matters. He has handled litigation torts, products liability, wrongful death, commercial vehicle, contract, asbestos and toxic tort matters. His past clients have ranged from small businesses and individuals, to established Fortune 500 companies.

Additionally, Vaca worked as a Legal Clinic Intern at a boutique law firm where he gained experience in intellectual property, business and international law litigation. In this capacity, Vaca assisted in representing national and international clients in trademark, copyright and corporate disputes.

Vaca earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations, with honors, with a minor in Sociology from Florida International University and his Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Florida, the District of Columbia and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Vaca is fluent in Spanish.
