ShareKelley Kronenberg Announces Daniel Mevorach as Partner and Business Unit Leader for Construction and Third-Party Insurance Defense Division in New York
Seasoned litigator brings over 15 years of experience in complex construction accidents and insurance coverage disputes in New York
[New York, New York] – Kelley Kronenberg is pleased to announce that Daniel “Dan” Mevorach has joined the firm as Partner and Business Unit Leader in the Construction, including New York Labor Law, and Third-Party Insurance Defense Division. Dan brings extensive experience litigating complex construction accidents, insurance coverage disputes, and commercial matters in both state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Dan served as Partner at a New York law firm, where he managed a team of seven attorneys handling a large caseload of New York Labor Law cases. His practice included complex multi-party construction accidents, loss of subjacent support claims, construction defect litigation, condominium sponsor liability, business disputes, coverage and indemnification claims, and professional liability matters. Dan is unique in that he is both a skilled trial attorney and a very successful appellate attorney, having obtained reported decisions on additional insured endorsements and triggers for defense obligations.
“Dan’s client-first focus makes him an outstanding addition to our growing statewide New York Labor Law Team,” said David Henry, Chair of Kelley Kronenberg’s General Liability Division. “His clients value his strategic approach—prioritizing risk transfer first, but delivering proactive, purposeful defense when litigation is necessary. Beyond his legal acumen, Dan is a proven leader who has built and mentored successful teams, which will be a tremendous value as we scale to meet growing client needs.”
Dan’s insurance coverage work includes advising clients and litigating matters involving commercial general liability, excess coverage, professional liability, first-party property, and trucking liability. He began his career as an associate at a law firm handling insurance coverage, construction defect, and products liability matters, and served as lead associate on appeals to the Appellate Division and assisted on briefs to the New York State Court of Appeals.
Dan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Political Science from Williams College, where he served as Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Computer Science and was Principal French Horn in the Student Symphony. He received his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law, where he was a St. Thomas More Academic Scholar and member of the Moot Court Honor Society and Junior Bar.
Dan’s technical background in computer science, combined with his extensive litigation experience and proven leadership managing legal teams, provides him with unique analytical capabilities and strategic insight that benefit clients facing complex construction and liability matters.
