[FORT LAUDERDALE, FL] We are thrilled to announce that Elizabeth Perez has joined Kelley Kronenberg as Partner and Business Unit Leader to spearhead our new Health Law Division and as a member of the firm’s Business Legal Team. This strategic expansion allows us to provide comprehensive legal services to Florida’s medical profession, and Elizabeth’s exceptional background makes her the perfect leader for this important initiative.
Elizabeth brings over twenty-five years of comprehensive legal experience representing health care providers in regulatory compliance, commercial litigation, and criminal defense matters. Prior to joining our firm, she founded and managed her own boutique law firm specializing in health law and commercial litigation. Her impressive career includes serving as Of Counsel at a prominent South Florida law firm, where she represented health care providers in license investigations and disciplinary actions before various professional boards, handled Medicare and Medicaid provider terminations and appeals, and managed peer review litigation. She has also served as a Partner at a regional law firm and as an Associate at a large international firm, handling complex commercial litigation, health care regulatory compliance, and white-collar criminal defense.
What makes Elizabeth particularly valuable to our team is her trial experience – she began her career as an Assistant Public Defender in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, where she brought more than fifty trials to verdict. This litigation background, combined with her deep understanding of health care regulations, positions her uniquely to serve our clients’ diverse needs.
Elizabeth graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and earned her Juris Doctor from The Florida State University College of Law, where she received multiple honors and leadership recognition. She is actively involved in numerous professional organizations including the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, Broward County Bar Association, Miami-Dade Bar, Cuban American Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the American Health Lawyer’s Association. She is a graduate of Leadership Miami and is fluent in Spanish.
