Alexis Garcia is an Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg, where she assists in handling matters related to first-party property defense.
Before joining Kelley Kronenberg as an associate, Alexis participated in the firm’s First-Party Property Law “Klinic,” a four-week program for newly licensed attorneys to receive comprehensive training in first-party property litigation; upon successful completion of which, they receive placement with a specific team to independently handle cases alongside an experienced Partner.
Alexis earned her Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, from Florida State University with a double major in Media Communication Studies and Psychology. Alexis was recognized for her academic achievements by invitation to and membership in the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society, and Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society. She maintained her scholastic excellence while participating in multiple campus organizations, including the Circle K Community Service Organization and Student Government Association. Alexis went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Florida International University College of Law, which she attended on a full merit scholarship. She continued to excel academically and was named a Dean’s Scholar. Alexis was also a member of FIU Law’s Moot Court team. While pursuing her law degree, Alexis gained legal experience working as a summer intern for the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s office; she completed an eight-week trial skills program and assisted mentor attorneys in all aspects of discovery and trial preparation. She also worked as a law clerk for a local law firm, supporting their attorneys with all aspects of dispute resolution and litigation.
