Cristian Rodriguez is a registered Patent Attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and serves as Of Counsel in Kelley Kronenberg’s Intellectual Property Division.

Before joining Kelley Kronenberg, Cristian founded and managed his own patent law firm, where he specialized in assisting clients with patent applications for mechanical devices, conducting prior art searches, and drafting patent documentation. His experience extends beyond patent law, encompassing litigation in commercial and civil matters, as well as appellate advocacy during his tenure with Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal. With a dual foundation in mechanical engineering and law, Cristian leverages his technical expertise and legal acumen to help inventors and companies protect their innovations and navigate the complexities of intellectual property law.

Cristian graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Florida International University. He later earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from St. Thomas University College of Law, where he graduated in the top 20% of his class. During law school, he authored “An Artificially Intelligent Approach to Medical Device Monitoring,” published in the St. Thomas Law Review, showcasing his focus on cutting-edge technological advancements in intellectual property.

In addition to his legal practice, Cristian serves as an Adjunct Professor at St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law, teaching Innovations and Patent Management. This role allows him to mentor aspiring attorneys while deepening his own understanding of the evolving landscape of patent law.
