Jonathan Ley is a Partner at Kelley Kronenberg where he concentrates on matters related to all aspects of first-party property insurance defense.
Prior to joining the firm, Jonathan worked as an attorney at a full-service law firm where he was a member of the trial team and responsible for defending a Fortune 500 company in high-stakes, multimillion-dollar litigation. Jonathan has extensive experience in matters involving insurance claims, medical malpractice, products liability, and personal injury in all phases from inception through trial and appeals in local, State, and Federal Courts.
Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University where he was on the Dean’s list and awarded an Army ROTC Scholarship. Jonathan then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University Law School. While enrolled in law school, Jonathan worked for the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans as a Workers’ Compensation and Compliance Intern as well as Assistant to the Owner and Vice Chairman of the teams.
Jonathan served with the Louisiana Army National Guard where he served as a Battery Fire Direction Officer & Artillery Platoon Leader and was responsible for the training and supervision of approximately sixty soldiers including mid-level managers as well as accounting for and maintaining platoon assets valued at more than $2.5 Million. Prior to joining the Louisiana National Guard, Jonathan was a Paralegal Specialist/Noncommissioned Officer with the United States Army and New York Army National Guard. Jonathan has been awarded the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition, the New York State Senate Certificate of Appreciation, and the United States Army Commendation Medal for his service.
