Alex G. Martinez

Alejandro “Alex” Martinez Maldonado is an Attorney in Kelley Kronenberg’s First-Party Property Insurance Defense Division. He leverages his extensive litigation experience to advocate for clients through all stages of the legal process.

Alex’s diverse career spans several areas of practice including first-party property insurance, third-party insurance, intellectual property, bankruptcy, and labor law. His comprehensive litigation experience includes drafting motions, conducting depositions, representing clients in mediations and arbitrations, and handling complex discovery issues. He has successfully settled multiple cases through mediation and worked with numerous expert witnesses.

Alex earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Sciences, magna cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. He then received his Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. Alex also completed coursework for a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Puerto Rico and obtained an Associate’s degree from Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California.

While in law school, Alex participated in the Legal Assistance Clinic focusing on federal criminal law, representing clients at the Federal Court for the District of Puerto Rico. He was a founder of the Federal Bar Association at the University of Puerto Rico, where he worked as a symposium coordinator collaborating with federal district judges.

Alex is fluent in Spanish.
