Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Bernardo worked as an associate at a law firm specializing in construction defect litigation, where he represented construction and design professionals in collaboration with partners and institutional clients, developed resolution strategies and litigation plans, prepared pleadings and motions, and assisted in mediation and trial preparation for complex civil litigation. His experience includes reviewing and analyzing construction contracts, drafting discovery documents, and preparing deposition designations and trial exhibits.
Before embarking on his legal career, Bernardo worked as a product manager negotiating licensing agreements on behalf of scientific journals serving over fifteen hundred institutional clients across Latin America, structuring region-specific agreements to align with client needs and regulatory requirements. He has also worked as a supply chain analyst assessing vendor contracts, pricing agreements, and contract viability for major corporations.
Bernardo earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Sciences from the University of Central Florida. He received his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List and served as Student Liaison for the ABA Forum Construction Law, Vice-President of the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Society Section, and volunteered with Legal Services of Greater Miami and the STU Law Immigration Clinic.
