Matthias Speziani is an attorney at Kelley Kronenberg in the Commercial Transactions Division, focusing his practice on business and corporate transactions, complex commercial litigation, intellectual property (copyright and trademark), sports, entertainment and media law, social media representation, and regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Matthias worked as an Associate Attorney at a law firm managing financial services litigation and complex commercial litigation in Florida state courts and FINRA arbitration. He handled high-stakes disputes including securities fraud, professional liability, breach of contract, and business tort claims, developing case strategies and advising clients on litigation outcomes.
Matthias gained significant experience in entertainment and sports industry legal work during his tenure at an entertainment and sports company, where he held positions in both the Office of General Counsel & Litigation and as Talent Agent Associate. In the Office of General Counsel, he handled contract disputes, copyright matters, intellectual property disputes, noncompete agreements, first amendment and defamation disputes, and right of publicity claims. He advised on complex issues including artificial intelligence and misappropriation of name, image, and likeness rights, negotiated film and television agreements, and counseled on cross-border disputes involving international subsidiaries. In his role as Talent Agent Associate, he supported partner talent agents in client management and career development for actors, artists, and directors, and assisted in negotiating film and television deals with major studios including Netflix, Disney, and Amazon.
Additionally, Matthias served as Executive Associate to the Managing Director at a venture capital firm, where he handled equity transactions and worked in corporate development establishing relationships with sports teams, professional athletes, and technology companies.
Matthias earned his Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Master of Science in Sports Administration from the University of Miami. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.
