Overview

Ryan Galka serves as Senior Trial Counsel at Kelley Kronenberg handling all aspects of first-party property insurance defense, including trial proceedings.  

Prior to joining the firm, Ryan held the position of Senior Managing Associate General Counsel at one of Florida’s top homeowners’ insurance providers. In this role, she was instrumental in devising and implementing standardized operating procedures and overseeing a company-wide Trial Team. She also conducted comprehensive trial training for the litigation department and collaborated closely with in-house litigation attorneys. 

Ryan’s legal journey began as an Assistant State Attorney for the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County, where she conducted over 90 jury trials and prosecuted thousands of cases. Her responsibilities included handling every aspect of cases from inception including case filing through trial. She spent the last 3 years of her time as an Assistant State Attorney as a supervisor in the Misdemeanor Trial Unit training and trying cases with new attorneys. 

With over a decade of experience, Ryan possesses extensive knowledge regarding trial and various areas of law, including personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, premises liability, personal injury protection, first-party property matters, and criminal.  

Ryan graduated cum laude from the University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. During her time there, she served as President and Social Chair for the University of Florida Pre-Legal Honor Society. 

She furthered her education by obtaining her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. Throughout her academic tenure, Ryan distinguished herself in various leadership capacities, including President, Vice President, and First-Year Law Student Representative of the Student Bar Association. Her outstanding active involvement earned her the title of Nova Southeastern University Student of the Year and Law Student of the Year. Additionally, she was an active member of both the Moot Court Society and the Nova Trial Association, securing victory in the Upper Class Feinrider Moot Court Competition. Ryan’s commitment to community service was recognized through her induction into the Pro Bono Honors Program as a Gold Level Recipient, in acknowledgment of her completion of over 300 hours of pro bono service.
