Overview

Scott McCloskey is an Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg, where he assists in handling matters related to first-party property insurance defense. 

Before joining Kelley Kronenberg, Scott represented employers, self-insureds, insurance companies, TPAs, and excess carriers in defense of the workers’ compensation claims filed by employees. By handling a broad spectrum of cases from inception to closure, Scott became highly skilled in all aspects of discovery and trial work. Applying a forensic analysis to his cases, he developed a keen eye for detecting possible fraud which led to successful settlement negotiations. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Scott served in the United States Navy where he earned the rank of Lieutenant and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. 

Scott received his Bachelor of the Arts degree in Political Science from Florida State University. Not long after, he returned to his alma mater to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University College of Law. While attending law school, he gained experience serving as a Civil Division Legal Intern for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida and as a Law Clerk for an esteemed multi-state workers’ compensation defense firm.
