Kelley Kronenberg Announces Opening of Houston Office Led by Preeminent Insurance Defense Attorney Stephen D. Bain
Experienced Partner and accomplished team expand firm’s national presence with launch of Houston-based general liability and insurance defense practice
[HOUSTON, TX] – Kelley Kronenberg is pleased to announce the opening of its Houston office, led by Partner and Business Unit Leader Stephen D. Bain, along with a seasoned team of partners and attorneys representing clients throughout Texas. This expansion reflects the firm’s continued growth and commitment to serving clients with sophisticated insurance defense capabilities across new markets.
Steve brings over 35 years of litigation and management experience to his role as Business Unit Leader. He holds an AV Peer Review Rating of “Preeminent” and is a Certified Forensic Interviewer, demonstrating exceptional skill and recognition in the insurance defense field. Steve’s practice focuses on insurance defense and fraud investigation, representing insurance carriers, their agents, and their insureds in catastrophic injury, trucking, deceptive trade practices, hurricane claims, bad faith, products liability, and premises liability matters. He has tried cases to verdict in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts and has provided nationwide litigation management support to leading corporations.
The Houston office opens with four additional partners: Tate Barkley, Margaret Cambric, Matthew Moore, and Kim Robards, along with an experienced team of support staff. Together, the team brings substantial experience in general liability and first-party property insurance defense.

Steve earned his Bachelor of Arts from State University of New York at Binghamton and his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston and his Executive MBA from Harvard Business School. He is admitted to practice in Texas and Arkansas.
