Jacob Stein is an Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg, where he handles matters related to all aspects of civil litigation pertaining to first-party property insurance defense. 

Before joining Kelley Kronenberg, Jacob served as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where he specialized in prosecuting domestic violence criminal cases. His tenure included successfully navigating numerous domestic violence cases to verdict, skillfully litigating hundreds of motions, and establishing himself as a proficient litigator. 

Jacob graduated from Columbia University with distinction as a Phi Theta Kappa Scholar, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Following his undergraduate studies, Jacob earned his Juris Doctor degree at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he excelled as a Dean’s Merit Scholar. His achievements and contributions to the Cardozo community were recognized by his law school faculty, who honored him with the prestigious Cardozo Service and Achievement Award. 

While attending law school, Jacob was a Teaching Assistant in Legal Writing and authored a Student Note advocating for a criminal defendant’s constitutional right to effective assistance of standby counsel, drawing on common law history and tradition. Jacob was also selected to serve as a Student Assistant District Attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, highlighting his exceptional focus on litigation.
