Attorney
Julianna B. Walo is an Attorney in the firm’s Justice for Kids Division, Kelley Kronenberg’ s national practice dedicated to providing legal services to abused, disabled, and catastrophically injured children harmed in foster care, shelters, residential treatment centers, group homes, and other child welfare settings, as well as all children harmed by the acts of others.
Previous to joining Justice for Kids, Julianna assisted in handling matters related to all types of civil litigation, including commercial, transportation, construction, breach of contract, premises, product liability, and workers’ compensation issues.
Prior to joining the firm, she gained experience at a Chicago-based firm where she provided legal analysis of toxic tort, product liability, premises liability, and construction negligence cases.
Julianna also served as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Moira S. Johnson in the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, handling a wide variety of responsibilities including drafting judicial orders and opinions on behalf of the Court and conferred with judges for the resolution of cases.
Julianna earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from DePaul University. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School, where she was the lead articles editor for The Review of Intellectual Property Law. She served as President of the Polish American Law Student Association and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Society. She also served as an extern for the Honorable Brigid M. McGrath in the Commercial Calendar of the Circuit Court of Cook County and she practiced in a pro bono trademark clinic. Additionally, she holds a JD certificate in Intellectual Property and Trademark Law.
