Kelley Kronenberg Hosts South Florida AGC’s 2nd Wednesday Safety Session

Kelley Kronenberg is happy to host the South Florida Associated General Contractors of America’s (AGC) 2nd Wednesday Safety Session powered by Milwaukee Tool.

This month’s topic is OSHA Record Keeping – What You May Not Know. Kelley Kronenberg Partner Angelo Filippi and USF Safety Florida Safety and Health Supervisor Gabriel Garcia will serve as the presenters.

The presenters will cover pre-existing conditions, workers compensation claims which do not automatically equal a recordable OSHA case and OSHA Restricted Duty Cases. They will also go over Determination of work-relatedness, First Aid versus OSHA recordable, #COVID and recordability, and Red Line cases when to record cases of COVID-19 in the workplace on your recordkeeping logs.

Gabriel Garcia serves as a USF Florida Safety and Health Supervisor to employers in South Florida. Mr. Garcia performs site interventions/inspections focused on OSHA standards and best practices for workplace safety and health management systems. He is currently working with the USF Management team to develop a comprehensive report writing program that will allow a standardized format while significantly reducing office time.

Angelo Filippi is a Partner in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office focusing his practice on Employment and Labor Law and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) defense. Angelo represents employers on a broad range of matters applicable to the workplace. His practice also includes counseling clients in regulatory compliance with the standards and regulations enforced by the Department of Labor, OSHA and Homeland Security. As part of his OSHA practice, Angelo assists clients in establishing compliant safety programs; guides employers during OSHA inspections; and defends employers in OSHA enforcement actions.
