Kelley Kronenberg Hosts South Florida AGC’s 2nd Wednesday Safety Session

Kelley Kronenberg is happy to host the South Florida Associated General Contractors of America’s (AGC) 2nd Wednesday Safety Session powered by Milwaukee Tool.

Date: Wednesday, March 10th

Time: 8 AM

This month’s topic is What to Expect From OSHA.

A change in President of The United States of America leads to changes in the leadership and direction of the Occupational Safety & Health Administration. The coming changes were exemplified on day one of President Biden’s term when he issued an Executive Order on Protecting Worker Health and Safety related to COVID-19. OSHA also has a new acting administrator, Jim Frederick, who takes over an agency that has not had a permanent, Senate-confirmed assistant labor secretary since January 2017. What does the change in leadership and attitude mean for Safety Professionals like you? What should you prepare for?

The guest this month will help us have a better sense of what we should expect from OSHA. Kevin Cannon is the Senior Director of Safety and Health at the Associated General Contractors of America. He is responsible for monitoring regulatory activity related to safety and health, and providing technical support for those directly involved in congressional relations, analyzing and otherwise assisting with any proposals for new or revised legislation that could have a significant impact on safety or health practices in the construction industry. Kevin is currently the Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH), which advises the Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSHA on regulations, standards and policies that impact the construction industry.
