Shareholder Karen Gilmartin discusses Workers’ Compensation matters throughout the State.

Shareholder Karen Gilmartin has had a busy start to 2013  traveling around the state to discuss Workers’ Compensation matters and other legal issues. Kicking off her speaking tour in March, Karen and Judge of Compensation Claims (JCC) Charles Hill spoke with leaders at Physicians Health Center (PHC). Karen also presented at PHC in April with Judge of Compensation Claims Sylvia Medina-Shore.

On May 10, Chief JCC David Langham asked Karen to present before all of the JCCs and mediators in Orlando.

Karen will continue on the speaking circuit next month when she participates on the faculty for the Workers’ Compensation Trial Advocacy Workshop, which brings veteran attorneys together with new lawyers to discuss several issues including rules of evidence, direct and cross examination of experts and lay witnesses and trial strategy.

Karen serves as Managing Partner of the firms Miami office and focuses her practice on the defense of employers, carriers and self-insureds in the field of Workers’ Compensation and Subrogation.
