Kelley Kronenberg Promotes Four South Florida Attorneys to Partner

South Florida Attorneys Robert D. Friedman, Melissa A. O’Connor, Tanaz Salehi and Amy B. Siegel advance to Partner level

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Kelley Kronenberg, a national full-service law firm, has promoted  South Florida attorneys Robert D. Friedman, Melissa A. O’Connor and Tanaz Salehi in Fort Lauderdale and Amy B. Siegel in West Palm Beach to partners within the firm.

Kelley Kronenberg offers a host of legal services for businesses and individuals. The firm has 10 office locations throughout Florida, with a headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, as well as a presence in Chicago and Houston.

Attorney Bios:

Robert D. Friedman (Fort Lauderdale)

Robert focuses his practice on Workers’ Compensation and Subrogation, with added experience in the area of Nursing Home Defense.  He frequently conducts seminars for the firm’s clients regarding Fraud, Subrogation and Civil Litigation case law and has been published in The South Florida Hospital News and Healthcare Report regarding fraud in the workers’ compensation system.  He is also a member of the Tamarac and Coconut Creeks Chambers of Commerce and is involved with the Construction Association of South Florida (CASF) and the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).

Mr. Friedman received his undergraduate degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and obtained his juris doctor from Florida State University College of Law.  He is licensed to practice in Florida and the District of Columbia and is admitted to the Middle District of Florida.

Melissa A. O’Connor (Fort Lauderdale)

Melissa handles Environmental law, including counseling and advising clients on environmental compliance strategies to avoid or minimize environmental risks and liabilities. She is skilled in defending environmental enforcement actions and various mold and environmental exposure matters in all areas of law.  Additionally, she works with the firm’s clients regarding related matters, such as real estate transactions, secure permitting and approvals involving comprehensive plan amendments, rezoning, platting, variances, identifying economic incentive opportunities, green building, water resource issues, and related environmental issues.

Ms. O’Connor received her undergraduate degree in Marine Science Affairs from the University of Miami and earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from Johns Hopkins University, before earning her law degree.  She  is licensed to practice in Florida and Hawaii and is admitted to the Federal Southern District of Florida.

Tanaz Salehi (Fort Lauderdale)

Tanaz focuses on Property and Casualty claims, including First Party Insurance Defense, Construction Defect Litigation and complex General Liability matters involving wrongful death and catastrophic injuries. She has spent her entire career litigating in the civil defense realm, focusing on insurance defense, federal and state employment law, corporate civil matters, and first party claims throughout South Florida. She has extensive experience litigating property insurance claims, representing property insurance companies on cases ranging from sinkholes, hurricanes, fire and water damage, vandalism and burglary.

Ms. Salehi earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and her juris doctor from St. Thomas School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Florida and California and is admitted to the Federal Southern District of Florida.

Amy B. Siegel (West Palm Beach)

Amy focuses her practice exclusively on Workers’ Compensation defense, representing employers and major insurance carriers in a variety of complex matters. Additionally, her background includes extensive experience with all aspects of Litigation and Appellate Law. She is certified by the state of Florida to conduct Continuing Education courses and has served on the Workers’ Compensation Practice Committee for the Palm Beach County Bar Association.  She was named to the Florida Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” List in 2013 and as one of the “Top Up & Comers” in the 2014 South Florida Legal Guide. She was also awarded an honorable mention in Attorney At Law Magazine’s “Attorneys to Watch in 2014” List.

Ms. Siegel received her undergraduate degree with honors in Legal Studies from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She obtained her juris doctor from Emory Law School.  She is licensed to practice law in Florida and Georgia.
