ShareKelley Kronenberg Secures $62K Fee Award Following Defense Verdict
Kelley Kronenberg Partner Alan H. Swindoll, Partner/Business Unit Leader Charles Prior, and Partner/Business Unit Leader Casey Mullin from the firm’s First-Party Property Division have achieved a remarkable conclusion to their Palm Beach County Circuit Court trial victory with a $62,000.00 attorney’s fee judgment awarded to their client.
This success represents the culminating chapter in a breach of contract case, in which members of our First-Party Property Team previously secured a complete defense verdict, in September 2023. The defense centered on late notice prejudice, a strategy that proved compelling to the jury and resulted in a full defense verdict.
Following the trial victory, the plaintiff initially filed an appeal but subsequently abandoned it without filing a brief. Our persistent legal team then moved forward with their Motion for Attorney’s Fees based on an expired proposal for settlement. The Court granted entitlement to fees and costs in November 2023, and through skilled negotiation, our attorneys secured an agreed judgment awarding $62,000.00 to the client.
This comprehensive victory—from successful trial defense to substantial fee recovery—demonstrates our commitment to maximizing favorable client outcomes.
