Deborah Levine

Deborah Levine is a Practice Partner at Kelley Kronenberg in the General Liability and Third-Party Insurance Defense Division, focusing her practice on general liability and third-party insurance defense, premises liability, New York Labor Law, construction law, professional liability defense, appellate matters, and coverage litigation. 

Prior to joining Kelley Kronenberg, Deborah worked as an associate attorney at a New York law firm, where she drafted documents critical to litigation including appellate briefs, motions for summary judgment, and discovery demands and responses, and conducted depositions and legal research. She previously worked as an associate attorney representing clients in preliminary compliance matters in court and preparing complaints, motions, and stipulations. During law school, she served as a legal intern at Lincoln Square Legal Services where she advised clients on special education issues and participated in hearings, and as a legal intern at a law firm where she reviewed discovery documents and conducted legal research. She also served as a legal intern at the Children’s Law Centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where she drafted a memorandum on the potential impact of Brexit on children’s rights for use in talks with the European Commission and Members of Parliament. 

Deborah graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology, where she was recognized on the Dean’s List for four semesters and participated in Columbia University Men’s Heavyweight Rowing. She earned her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law, where she was recognized on the Dean’s List, received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award, and served as Notes & Articles Editor for the Fordham International Law Journal. She published a note on hate speech laws and studied abroad at Fordham-University College Dublin-Queens University Belfast.
